New vocab words hatch into pets every week.
Smarty Pets gives every kid a fresh set of vocabulary words each week, as eggs that hatch and grow as they learn. Ten minutes a day, and every pet is full grown by Friday. Free for every kid.

How a week works
- 1
New words every Monday
Each kid gets a fresh week of vocabulary words picked for their grade (1st to 6th), with kid-friendly definitions, examples, silly stories and voices, all ready.
- 2
Eggs hatch, pets grow
A short lesson for each word, then about 10 minutes of games a day. Pets level up Monday to Thursday and are full grown for Friday's quiz.
- 3
Or use your school's list
With Premium, type the words your kid brings home, with the school's own definitions. Smarty Pets never rewrites them, and you approve every example and story.
Made for real school weeks
Free for every kid
New words every week, all 11 games, the pets, the Pet Park and Star Packs, at no cost. No card needed.
11 games that teach
Definition Dash, Silly Story Fix-Up, Teach the Robot, Spell It, Egg Slingshot, Word Fishing and more, unlocked as each word is learned.
A daily goal, not endless screen time
You set the minutes (5 to 30). The Pet Park and Star Packs open once today's words are done.
Everything is read aloud
Warm recorded voices read every word, definition and story. School words can be in Spanish too.
Mistakes never cost anything
No lost levels, no scolding. A missed word just comes back sooner, with its lesson card.
Your school's words, word for word (Premium)
Kids learn the exact meaning their teacher will test, not a dictionary's version.
Every kid their own
Each child gets their own words, pets and goal. Grown-ups each get their own PIN, and a Premium family gets a Friday report.
iPad, tablet or computer
Runs in the browser and installs on the home screen. Kids tap their picture to play, no passwords.
Rewards that keep them coming back
340 creatures to hatch, from foxes to dragons to space buddies. Past weeks' pets move into the Pet Park, where hungry pets ask their words again on a review schedule (3, 7, 14 and 30 days), so words stick long after the test. Stars earned while learning open Star Packs of pictures, outfits and home decorations.

Questions
What ages is it for? +
Kids in 1st to 6th grade. Words come in three levels (grades 1–2, 3–4 and 5–6), and you can move a kid up or down. Younger kids enjoy it with a grown-up nearby.
Is it really free? +
Yes. Every kid gets new words every week and the whole game, free, with no ads. Premium is only for extras that cost us money to make: your school's own word lists and Math.
Do I need to make an account for each kid? +
No. A grown-up signs in once on each device with an email code. Kids just tap their picture.
What does Premium add? +
Premium is $5.99 a month for each kid who has it. That kid can use your school's own weekly word lists (with the school's definitions, taught word for word) and gets the Math tab. With any Premium kid, the whole family gets the Friday progress report.
What if our school doesn't send definitions? +
With Premium, type the meanings you'd like your kid to learn. Whatever you enter is what gets taught, word for word. Or just use the free ready-made words.
Is it safe for kids? +
There are no ads, no chat, no links out and no other players. We collect as little as we can, never sell data, and you can download or delete everything any time.
Can I cancel Premium any time? +
Yes, from the parent area. Premium runs to the end of the month you paid for, then your kids keep playing free with ready-made words. Their pets and progress are never lost.
